Summer Time Fun and Rewards
Those that have purchased Celeste, Turkey, and Lousiana Figs from us are now reaping their rewards.
My Celeste fig trees at home, (I have 3) are loaded.  We just prepared some Strawberry Fig Jam using an old recipe given to us by my husband's grandmother.  It is wonderful!  Made homemade bread and spread the Jam on it.... Life is all good.
Here is my recipe hope you can enjoy.

Strawberry Fig Jam

3 cups mashed cleaned and stemmed Figs
3 cups sugar
6 oz Strawberry Jello.

Mix in a Large pan and cook to boil.  When thickening, pour into jelly jars that have been cleaned and presterilized.  Apply lids and give 10 min. boiling water bath.
Makes about 3 pints.

  We get questions.......

An endless carpet of summer color

Can I plant during the summer?
Yes, as long as it is a well rooted container plant.  Just remember that with the summer comes heat and driness.  You will have to water more and deeper than if you plant in the fall during dormancy and the plant has time to build roots before it leaves out.

Our certified nursery professionals will be available to answer any questions and assist in choosing the right plant for the area you want to plant in.
